Production in France
The “Direct Production”
La Ferme de Fontenay has specialized for 30 years in the production of condiments.
Nearly 400 ha of condiments are cultivated each year within a radius of 80 km between the Champagne-Ardenne region and the Île de France.
Each year, we collect an approximate volume of:
- 26,000 tonnes of yellow onions jaunes
- 1,500 tons of colored onions (red, rosé, white, sweet)
- 300 tons of saucier onions
- 600 tons of shallots traditions and sowing
- 500 tons of echalions
- 200 tons of garlic

Ideal territories for a year-round offer
The typicality of the natural regions of Nogentais (clay-limestone soil, North of the Aube), the plains of Champagne (chalky soil, South of the Aube), the Bassée (very sandy soil, South-East of the Seine and Marne) , and Provinois (clay soil, South Seine and Marne), allows us to offer a French offer almost all year.
The Ferme de Fontenay has a storage capacity of 12000 tons located close to the packaging buildings.
After harvest, the products are stored in different types of bulk storage or palox able to dry, ventilate, regulate and cool products.
All products in storage are identified by a batch number determined during cultivation.
The various storage boxes are connected by radiofrequency in order to be able to constantly monitor the storage conditions.
To meet the needs of its customers and ensure consistent quality throughout the year, the Farm Fontenay has woven around the world a network of producing partners that ensures products that meet the same requirements of traceability and reasoned culture than those it applies to its operation.
